Our Team

Dr. Suzanne Turner was born in Houston, TX and raised in a small city in Illinois. She attended Illinois State University during undergrad, where she majored in Biological Science and minored in Chemistry. Dr. Turner then enrolled in the four year Doctorate of Optometry program at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

During her externships, Dr. Turner gained extensive knowledge in the diagnosis and management of retinal diseases and ocular infections, as well as the co-management of cataract and LASIK surgery, foreign body removal, primary eye care, and contact lens fittings. She is specialized to manage ocular diseases and glaucoma.

When not practicing, Dr. Turner enjoys spending time with her family outdoors. She is dedicated to improving and maintaining good vision for you and your family.

Dr. Jeslyn Sabol grew up in Austin, TX on Lake Travis. She is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then completed her optometric education and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry where she specialized in contact lenses, pediatrics, low vision rehabilitation and ocular disease.

While in school, Dr. Sabol was the president of Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometric honors society. She also received the Clinical Excellence Award in low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Sabol is very happy to be practicing in Central Texas! In her free time, she loves tailgating and watching Aggie Football with her husband, Will. She and Will met in high school in California when they marched together in the Bands of America National Honor Band in the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day. They now live in New Braunfels and have three precious daughters that keep them laughing daily.

Dr. Abigail Arteaga was born and raised in Austin, TX. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went on to complete her optometric education at the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

During her fourth-year externships, Dr. Arteaga specialized in ocular disease, primary eye care, dry eye, specialty contact lens fittings, and cataract surgery co-management.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family in Austin and going to dog parks with her German Shepherd, Achilles.

Born and raised in Ft Worth. She moved to Austin in 2005 where she began her career in optometry.  Since then, she has been dedicated to providing exceptional eye care services to the community.

Her expertise spans in various aspects of eye care, including assisting patients during exams, handling insurance verification, and guiding individuals in selecting the perfect pair of glasses. As a Certified Optician (ABOC) and a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPOA), Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to every interaction.

Beyond the walls of the office, Kim enjoys trying new restaurants and breweries with her husband and traveling with their blended family. During football season you can find her cheering on The Green Bay Packers or her husband's home state team UGA. 

I was born in Austin, but raised here in Seguin. I am dedicated to my big family of 5 making me the oldest of 3 siblings. I love to travel to new places with my family, so far we have traveled to Mexico, New Mexico, and Colorado. I hope to travel to many more places in the future. I love to meet new people and embrace their culture during my travels. In my free time I like to binge watch Netflix, paint, and spend time with my friends and family. I am excited to start this new chapter in life, and I hope to expand my abilities and knowledge in the eyecare industry.

Was born in San Antonio and raised in Spring Branch, where she graduated from Smithson Valley HS. Jenn joined the optical field in 2004 where she began her optical experience. She has over 20 years experience being an optician and has worked in both Optometry and Ophthalmology clinics. She began her journey as an Ophthalmic Technician here at Seguin Texas State Optical, something she is very excited about. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys listening to music, watching YouTube videos and spending time with her husband, Michael, and their four dogs at their home in La Vernia.

Sarina began working in optometry during high school while working for the VA Eye Clinic. In 2009 she began her  optometry journey, from working with patients as a technician to verifying and helping patients understand their insurance coverage. In her off time, Sarina enjoys reading, hanging out with her cat, and watching live music all over the greater Hill Country area.
